Dollhouse Lamps

When lighting up a dollhouse, you’ll want a dollhouse lamp. A standard lamp would give off too much heat and could be dangerous to use in a dollhouse kitchen. A miniature lamp made of beadwork can give off the desired effect. A bear table lamp is a fun way to decorate a den or cottage miniature. To make this lamp, use patterned or glass beads instead of a solid bear. Just make sure to make a large enough hole for the bulb wires to pass through.

When it comes to wiring, dollhouse lights usually come with a plug and a length of wire to install in the dollhouse. This makes it easy to install, but you may need to buy additional bulbs or replace a faulty light fitting later. You can also choose an independent wiring system if you wish to have more control over the wiring. Many lights have sockets that make it easy to connect the light fittings to the dollhouse. Back plates also allow you to easily install or remove the dollhouse lamp without damaging the decor.

To test your dollhouse light bulbs, you should remove the lampshade and unplug it from the socket strip. Before plugging it into the dollhouse lamp, check to see if it has blown or if it is simply working properly. It is not uncommon for dollhouse light bulbs to come loose during installation and transit. You may find it difficult to access them, but you can easily remove the lampshades and change the bulbs.
